Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd, China's largest beermaker in terms of revenue, said its net profit in 2004 rose 16.4 percent from the previous year on strong demand, chinadaily.com.cn learned from the on-going "2005 Web Tour in Shandong".
The brewer said its net profit in 2004 totaled 285.2 million yuan (US$34.45 million); revenue rose 14.7 percent to 7.7 billion yuan (US$930 million), according to latest statistics from Tsingtao Brewery.
"China's brewery market registered rapid growth last year, driven by China's strong economic growth," TsingTao Brewery's Chairman Li Guirong said.
